A to Z of Network Marketing - I is for Inspiration

It's a tricky game to play if you're working with a network marketing company that just doesn't inspire you. Or the people in your upline don't make you want to follow in their footsteps for one reason or another.

This is why it's so important to mix with the people in your business who do inspire you and who will keep you going through good and bad times in your business.

Attend meetings and trainings so you rub shoulders with people who are successful - renew your inspiration.

Don't forget that in order to be really successful in network marketing you have to be an inspiration to others too!

A to Z of Network Marketing - H is for Help

Now I know that in the world of network marketing we're all supposed to be completely upbeat and chipper all the time but sometimes it can be frustrating, tricky and doesn't run to plan.

This is where you have to ask for help. Way too many new distributors, regardless of the company, fall at the first hurdle because they're unable to ask for help.

But what if you've got an absent sponsor or a very unhelpful one?

Try talking to members of another team - you'd be surprised how willing they are to give you a hand. Don't forget, network marketing companies often give out shares as promotions or are run as cooperatives so it's in everyone's interest in the business to guide others.

And if you're in a position to help others yourself then do it!

Network Marketing A to Z - G is for Guru

I actually hate the word 'guru' or rather I hate what it's come to mean to most of us today. However, for the purposes of this A to Z, I would urge you to seek out a 'guru' to help you on the road to network marketing enlightenment....

Who will that person be? It might be your immediate sponsor or someone else even further up the business or it might even be a leading light in the industry in general but whoever it is, see what they do, listen to what they do and do what they do.

Network marketing businesses are usually set up as a system which means that success is duplicatable. Copy your guru, become your guru and in time you might find you have some gurees (I know that's not a word but I like it anyway).

Network Marketing A to Z - F Is For Follow Up

So, we rush out there, telling everyone we know about our ace business and some people show an interest and ask for a phone call or for you to set up an appointment and it's all very exciting until, bump, you have to sit down and follow up your leads.

Well, it's all part and parcel of the game - has to be done and is, in fact, one of the most essential part of any sales process - making sure you follow up with your prospects.

This isn't unique to network marketing - Get Clients Now by CJ Hayden is a marketing book aimed at 'professionals, consultants and coaches' but its message applies equally well to anyone whose business it is to get customers and new recruits. I think I'll revisit this one - forgot I had this little onion on my bookshelf!

Network Marketing A to Z - E is for Everyone

What do you normally do when you find something you love, that you can get excited about?

You tell everyone!

One of the key concepts of network marketing is to tell everyone you know (and those that don't know they know you yet) what it is you're doing and how it is your business can help them too.

So you can talk to people or hand them some literature or even blog or tweet about your business - the more people that know about it, the bigger your business will eventually be - it's as simple as that.
