Last time in the series on how to escape the rat race during the credit crunch we looked at affiliate marketing.
But what if you’re not really that web-savvy? What if you prefer people to computers?
Well, fear not as there are plenty of opportunities out there for you whereby you can start working part time from home outside of your full time job with very little financial risk and often involve your friends and family.
The field is known as network marketing and as one particularly successful network marketer, Jim Rohn, puts it you can, “Start building a fortune part time whilst working on your living full time”.
By word of explanation, most network marketing systems are not get rich quick schemes – they are get rich slow. If the particular business plan is followed according to the company’s methods, you will gradually start to create a second, residual income over time. You can usually start doing this on a very part time basis, depending on how fast or slow you want to go.
The idea is that at some point in time that residual income will be greater than your expenses thus giving you the ticket out of the rat race.
Then you sack your boss, work your network marketing business full-time and grow your residual income until a point in the future (probably a lot sooner than your current plans to work yourself to death and then ‘retire’) you can put your feet up and only concern yourself with watching the monthly cheques continue to roll in...
I’ll tell you more next time about the various types of programmes on offer. Meanwhile, try to answer the following questions:
• When do you want to retire?
• When do you think, given your current situation, you will be able to retire?
• What is your plan to close the gap between questions one and two?
Don’t have a plan? Pop back to the blog soon to see how network marketing can help you close that gap...

Will Pay Per affiliate marketing really increase my customer base? You will certainly be able to reach many more customers through online marketing than through any conventional advertising medium. As long as you place your ads appropriately where they are likely to attract attention, there is no reason you will not see an increase in sales.

MLM or network marketing I think is a really good, fast and legal way to earn a living - both offline and online. Too bad there are scams out there that smudge the good face of the industry. On the other hand, there are also those that are legit, some of which I'm a part of.
